Isabel Stover (vocals)
Isabel is a seasoned vocalist who entertains and inspires listeners by fearlessly deconstructing musical compositions to their emotional core. “Jazz is my go-to music; my comfort food,” says Isabel. “As vocal artists there is a need to bear our souls to the world, but at the same time make our music accessible to people.” Her mastery of rhythm, phrasing and spot-on intonation draws the emotive thread between timeless jazz standards, latin favorites, and classic blues. Her laid-back style, ability to connect with her audience, and unique repertoire provides a refreshingly different jazz showcase. And the critics say: “Isabel Stover is a fantastic talent in the classic tradition of Carmen McRae or Sarah Vaughan who puts on a heartfelt, warm and vibrant show packed to the gills with soul.” “Isabel Stover has sung in musical theater, funk, r&b, classical opera, and a jazz choir. She certainly brings out the full meaning of songs in her richly textured voice.”
Isabel with be joined by a stand-out trio of regional jazz instrumentalists. Bios will follow soon.
