Singer, songwriter, and guitarist Bruce Marshall has been a full-time musician his entire adult life with over nine thousand shows to his credit. He has opened for more than 200 national acts including James Brown, BB King, Chicago, Beach Boys, Bryan Adams, Doobie Brothers, Boz Scaggs, and Joe Cocker. In tonight’s intimate, solo performance, Marshall will be reaching deep into his catalog on acoustic guitar and dobro, taking you on a musical ride.
With an affinity early on for blues, rock and 60s pop, Marshall honed his chops in the gin mills of New England, starting with Whitecap, a popular area band that gigged nonstop for seven years. He put out his first album with his band, The Clue, in ‘87 and went national with guitarist Toy Caldwell (Marshall Tucker guitarist/founder) in ‘89, touring the US with Charlie Daniels, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and the Outlaws.
With many awards to his credit, in 2018 Marshall created his seventh record, “Borrowed Time,” to rave reviews.

“Fugitive at the Door” is a bi-weekly music series presented by Fugitive Productions and Orange Door Kitchen. Since the winter of 2015, Fugitive has been bringing great dance bands to The Gallery at Villageworks. Now, Fugitive is partnering with Villageworks’ newest venue, Orange Door Kitchen, to present “listening” music — one to a few performers playing jazz, folk, bluegrass, blues, classical, world music, possibly even a cappella. Whatever strikes our fancy — and yours.
“Fugitive at the Door” happens two Wednesdays a month. Orange Door Kitchen serves a few small plates and snacks each evening with a full bar. We think you will fall in love with the room and the amenities and hope that our Wednesday evening events offer a regular mid-week break for you.
Orange Door is a no cash, no tipping venue — all transactions are digital and gratuities are included in the menu price.
