Dunham Shoe Factory rarely plays a room this size. Come and enjoy an intimate evening of world music, performed by masters while enjoying Orange Door's great bar and small plates.
DSF is a contemporary acoustic ensemble playing original compositions influenced by world traditions, featuring Anna Patton, Mac Ritchey, Todd Roach, and Dave Haughey. Combining the clarinet, oud, percussion, and cello, their music draws from a myriad of styles including Brazilian, Egyptian, Jazz, Turkish, Classical, and Indian music.
Individual members have performed in a variety of settings locally, nationally, and internationally over the past 25 years — two hold masters degrees in music performance; two have studied traditional Arabic and Turkish music; two have performed with the Paul Winter Consort; and all have spent time improvising in a variety of settings.
The result is a musical experience that is exuberant and soulful. One reviewer wrote, “The multicultural blend of instruments and compositions was fascinating. They are such outstanding musicians and creating the quartet was a joyful decision for us all.”
