Fall 2018 Comedy Series
•  Friday, September 21
•  Friday, October 19
•  Friday, November 18

In 2017 Fugitive Productions began “Fugitive Comedy Night” in West Acton. The curator and host through spring 2018 was Wes Hazard — a 2017 New England Emmy Award winner recognized as an Outstanding Program Host/Moderator and host of WGBH-TV's "Stories from the Stage.”

NEW SEASON, NEW HOST!

We wish Wes Hazard a fond farewell as he sets sail for the Big Apple this fall! In his place is an equally engaging, fun-loving, and funny guy — Mike Dorval. After a mere three months of performing, Mike won the NH Comedy Festival, defeating some of New England’s most established comics and he quickly climbed the comedic ranks to become one of the youngest headliners in Boston history. He’s been praised by the Boston Globe as “One of Boston’s Best." Mike has been featured on Comedy Central’s Laugh Riots, starred in numerous TV commercials, and toured overseas for the USO. His album “We Need To Talk” documents his distinctive worldview and performance chops. He has served as Comic In Residence at The Comedy Studio and is a favorite of the Boston Comedy Festival. He’s written and performed several one man shows which have had runs at the Charles Playhouse and Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theater.

We will continue to select a lineup of  the best and brightest comics working in the Boston area and nationally. The comedians who have joined us have appeared on Comedy Central, Late Night with Stephen Colbert, The TV Guide Channel, Comedy Bang! Bang! Live! Podcast, NPR’s Commonwealth Journal, Lifetime’s Girls Night Out and have opened for numerous well-known comedians. Our audiences have, frankly, been surprised by the level of talent we’ve brought to the ‘burbs.

SEPTEMBER'S HEADLINER

Live, from New York, it's Carmen Lagala!! New York-based comedian Carmen Lagala, who made her network television debut this July on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” (watch it here), is making the trip to our little hamlet to entertain us.

Originally from Vermont, Carmen endears audiences with her playful voice and anecdotes on everything from the beauty industry to the death of a Facebook friend. She opens regularly for Hari Kondabolu at comedy clubs and theaters all over the country and was featured in the prestigious Bridgetown Comedy Festival, the Women in Comedy Festival, and the Green Mountain Comedy Festival in her home state.

FEATURING

Katie Qué has been has been creating a solid fan-base in Greater Boston for years. Sarcastic yet vulnerable, she veils her feminist agenda behind up-speak and vocal fry. She was a featured performer in the Laugh Your Asheville Off Comedy Festival, The Women In Comedy Festival, and is a co-producer for the Mendoza Line Comedy Show, every Saturday night in the heart of Boston.
