Boost your confidence for home entertaining with demonstrations of crunchy nachos, delicious roast cardamom and yogurt chicken, tender buttermilk biscuits and a colorful and zingy salad. Tickets are $65 for an evening of enticing tastes, tantalizing aromas, and fun with home cook Janet. There will be tips and tricks on how to plan a dinner party so that most of the work is done ahead of time. You can thus fully enjoy your party and your guests. Learn how to butterfly (“spatchcock”) a whole chicken and how to shape fluffy biscuits by hand. Will you like Guacamole 1, Guacamole 2 or Guacamole 3 best on your nachos?

Hello, Janet here! I grew up as a picky eater and learned how to cook partly to control what ended up on the table. Fortunately, my tastes have expanded to include many international ingredients and dishes, many styles and cultures. I regularly host dinner parties for friends and family, bake (scones, muffins, coffeecakes, cookies) for my grateful colleagues at work, do some private catering, am a Cook’s Illustrated recipe tester, and I have a ridiculous collection of cookbooks.
